Sulphate of Iron (Ferrous Sulphate)

Why Use Sulphate of Iron

• Used in turf culture as a moss-killing agent.
• A source of iron, ideal for blending with other fertiliser products.
• Market gardeners often include this in mixes as it enhances the green colour in plant leaves​

Application and storage
For moss control, aim for 5g iron sulphate/m2 of turf lawn if applied as a solid product 

Alternatively, dissolve at 5g/litre of water and apply to lawns at 1 litre/m2. Allow granular ferrous sulphate a few minutes to dissolve and stir well.  (Warm water works best)
 
Bags should be tightly sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. 

Avoid fertiliser contacting paths, hard surfaces and driveways and the iron sulphate may discolour these surfaces.
