Garden Addicts VegeBoost – Organic Nitrogen Fertiliser - - - [1ltr]
Description
VegeBoost is a plant-derived liquid fertiliser with a nitrogen-forward NPK: 5% nitrogen, 0.007% phosphorus, 1.6% potassium. The organic matter content of 60% is worth noting. That’s high for a liquid, and it means every application is contributing something to soil biology and microbial activity, not just feeding the plant above ground.
The amino acid complex is the other piece worth understanding. Amino acids are the building blocks plants use for protein synthesis, and supplying them directly reduces the energy plants spend producing their own, particularly useful during periods of heat stress, drought, or after transplanting when plants are working hard to re-establish. It won’t rescue a seriously stressed plant, but it’s a useful support through those periods.
Use it as a liquid top-up alongside a granular base fertiliser during active growth. Given the nitrogen content and amino acid profile, it’s particularly well suited to leafy vegetables, lawns going into the growing season, and ornamentals that need a green-up without excessive push.
How to use
Garden beds, soil drench
Mix with water and apply to moist soil during active growth. Water in after application. Avoid using in very hot or slow-drying conditions.
Foliar spray
Dilute and apply to foliage in the early morning or late afternoon when conditions are cooler. Gives plants a faster uptake of amino acids and nitrogen. Do not apply during flowering or on fruiting crops where marking is a concern.
Lawns
Apply through a watering can or sprayer. Works well at the start of the growing season to push colour and green up turf coming out of winter. Water in well after application.
Pot plants
Apply to moist potting mix at the rates below. The high organic matter content is beneficial in potting mixes that can lose biology quickly.
Frequency
Every 2 to 4 weeks during active growth. More frequent application during recovery from stress or at the start of the season is fine at the lower end of the rate.
Application rates
Use the following rates as a guide depending on where you’re applying:
Garden beds (soil drench)
Mix 50–80 mL in 10 L of water and apply over 10 m²
Foliar spray
Mix 50–80 mL per 10 L of water and spray to leaf coverage
Lawns
Apply 200–300 mL in 5 L of water per 100 m²
Pots & containers
Small pots (up to 15 cm): 3–5 mL per 1 L of water
Medium pots (20–25 cm): 5–10 mL per 1–2 L of water
Large pots (30–45 cm): 10–20 mL per 2–4 L of water
